Initial meeting of the Vermont chapter of the Fenian Historical Society in the Library (back room) of Ri Ra pub on Church Street in Burlington, Sunday, January 18, 2015, at 1 PM. Representatives of the Burlington Irish Heritage Festival will also be on hand with event information, raffle tickets, and opportunities for volunteers to help. In addition, you can learn about the Irish language classes being planned, exploring your Irish roots through genealogy, and other aspects of Irish culture. A “session” of Irish music by local musicians starts at 3:30 PM [playing for their own pleasure, but we are welcome to listen in] and the craic [good times] continues from there.
