Saturday, March 14, 2015 – 11AM to 12 Noon
Presented by the Burlington Irish Heritage Festival in conjunction with Young Tradition Vermont.
In the Irish folk tradition, no musical session is ever complete without stories about the tunes being played, the musicians who played them, or some mystical or humorous tale. With Irish harp and uilleann bagpipes among other instruments, Hilari Farrington & Benedict Koehler will take you on a tour of Ireland through its music, folk customs, and stories. Founders of the Vermont School of Irish Traditional Music, these well-known musicians have played and taught music throughout North America and Ireland.
Venue information: Pickering Room, Fletcher Free Library, 235 College Street Burlington, VT. $8 suggested donation at the door.
